Pilgrim’s Moy Park has contributed over 300,000 meals to FareShare, the U.K.’s largest food redistribution charity. FareShare aims to tackle hunger by redistributing surplus food to charities that then turn it in to meals. Pilgrim’s Moy Park joined forces with FareShare in March 2015 and has provided over 130 tonnes of fresh surplus chicken to be distributed across FareShare’s network of Regional Centres, reaching homeless hostels, breakfast and lunch clubs, domestic violence refuges and community cafés across the U.K. Pilgrim’s Moy Park is proud to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative with FareShare. By working together, companies across the supply chain can make a difference to those in need and put surplus product to the best use possible.
