In October 2018, the Pilgrim’s Chattanooga team signed up as a $3,000 sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Colors of Cancer run. The event will take place on June 15, 2019 in downtown Chattanooga, where walkers, runners and volunteers will come together for a 10k race and 1-mile fun run to honor cancer survivors, raise awareness about reducing cancer risk and raise money to help the ACS fight the disease. In addition to the facility’s sponsorship, Pilgrim’s team members will participate in the races decked out in whichever color they would like to honor. Whether it is for lung, breast, childhood, skin or any other type of cancer, the ACS wants the Chattanooga community to show its colors while saving lives, celebrating lives and leading the fight for a world without cancer.
